Over the years Maine Grass Roots has provided medical marijuana at the lowest possible price to patients, we are currently placing patients with caregivers for $200 an ounce local delivery or $220 delivered within 40 miles.
Some people have asked why our price has gone up so lets take a moment and explain. Maine Grass Roots is dedicated to serving the patients needs. We specialize in teaching patients to cultivate their own cannabis greatly reducing the cost to medicate. This is our primary job, taking a patient that is dependent on someone else and giving them the ability to cultivate their own medicine and use the money they would spend for medicine for everyday stuff.
Given the economy we feel this is our top priority!
Teaching a patient to care for his/her own needs is our #1 priority. We provide grow instruction for free, setup and design for free, and feedback and follow up support during the grow for FREE. We can also supply genetic starting material. Growing your own can be done for as little as $25 an ounce once you have purchased a light and nutrients, it should be every patients first choice. Do not let your location dictate your ability to grow your medicine. Under state law you can legally grow in a home, apartment, condo, mobile home, or just about anywhere. Know what the law allows!
We can supply your medical needs while you learn to grow so you will not be without medicine. We specialize in short term patient needs filling the gap while you learn to grow.
Our 2nd priority If a patient cannot grow his/her own medication is to supply them with medicine as cheaply as possible.
Over the years caregivers have stepped forward to provide medicine at the lowest price possible, as the industry in Maine evolves it has been harder and harder to secure compassionate caregivers willing to operate well below market prices.
In order to provide for patients we need caregivers. When caregivers do not step forward and accept a compassionate price we work on finding them the best price. It's not always easy. One year ago it took a few days to line a patient up with a caregiver priced in the $150-$180 range, today unfortunately it's $200 or more and that's just to get a response from caregivers, below that price it takes a while to find a qualified caregiver.
Qualified caregivers are not easy to find, many people want to jump in and become caregivers, the reality is not what they imagine. Do you like 10-12 hour days? Do you like them 7 days a week? Want to go on vacation, who's going to watch the garden?
We will continue to align patients with caregivers, we do so for the lowest price we can obtain for the patient. Remember for the most part we are the middle person in this arrangement, we simply find out the patients medical needs and line them up with someone qualified. Qualified means someone that has done this for a while with proven results. The biggest complaint from patients is inadequate supply or quality. Caregivers have to have a supply available for patients when they need it.
Why choose a primary caregiver over a dispensary?
Price. The same medication for 30-40% less and with today's economy that puts real money back into your pocket that might make a difference somewhere else. Medicine is not covered by insurance and every purchase is an out-of-pocket expense.
As an example, if your are a patient and require two ounces a month for medical needs a dispensary will cost you at least $680 for that medication monthly. If you were paying $160 for the SAME MEDICATION you would save $3,800 yearly. Now I can't speak for others but I certainly would have a use for an extra $3,800. That's a 48% savings, real savings that you can wrap your fingers around.
People on a fixed income find our services to be very helpful.
One-on-one service. Dispensaries have useful purpose but they do not help those that can least afford it, they cater to those with deep pockets willing to spend $60 for an eighth of medicine when they could have purchased twice as much for the same money.
We can provide medical marijuana to patients, award winning strains, at up to 30-40% less than dispensaries. You will not buy finer medical marijuana at a lower price from a dispensary or caregiver.
